We at Square63 believe in providing adventures and outdoor activities for everyone to keep them fresh, both physically and mentally. The folks at Square63 organized a company trip to X-Park, an adventure based amusement park in the vicinity of Lahore known for its high speed go-karts and rock climbing. Although the ride to X-Park was too bumpy and uncomfortable but it was worthy once we reached there. The venue was glowing with flood lights and the go-kart track reminded me of the track in Singapore.

But alas not much could be said about our “high-speed” drivers. Although some of us were pretty good at driving go-karts and they did demonstrate that but the shock of the night came when we figured out that we can run faster than some of the drivers in their go-karts.
Baber, our CEO led from the front and was declared the “overall winner” with fastest lap time. Jokes apart but for the newcomers the thrill and adventure of tackling high g-forces while driving with full slick tires under flood lights was a big mountain to climb.
Talking about climbing, we also tried the rock climbing facility. Although we fancied the famous Stallon flick “cliffhanger” but our skills weren’t even at par with the novices in climbing. We in fact did race each other in climbing and Ali, our COO emerged as the “overall winner” in climbing. However Jibran, our PHP lead stole the climbing show by showing us an interesting way of climbing down the hill while arriving upside down. Bravo JB!
After the climbing fiasco we went on to try the ATV bikes in a motocross styled track. We boasted and made fun of all the protective equipment that was given to us (helmet, a bullet-proof jacket styled body gear and elbow guards). We also posed for pictures as we were the teenage mutant ninja turtles of the 21st century. But Baber proved that the protective gear did have some use and that an ATV can ride him also when he met an accident in the 1st corner of the 1st lap. Sound like Kimi Raikonnen, isn’t it?
Overall the outing at X-Park was a fun-filled and adventurous event for all.
